An elegant piece that was conceived in 1912 by Louis Cartier for the Grand Duchess of Russia. It allegedly existed with the name "oval shaped watch" until the 60s when it was named the Baignoire. It was then reintroduced as part of the Original Louis Cartier Collection in 1973.
From this point, it solidified its status as an "it" piece. An object where the distinction between jewellery and watch disappears. A piece of art, for the wrist.
